CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees has solidified its new leadership positions.
At its regular Monday meeting, the board unanimously elected Trustee Alicia Smith as its new board chair. She previously served as clerk. Tim Bolin, who was not reelected to the board in November’s general election, was the former chair.
Christy Klaassen is reassuming her role as the board’s vice chair. Brittany Ashby is again serving as treasurer.
The board’s new clerk is Brooke Humphrey, who previously served as assistant clerk. Rene Hinkle is now undertaking the assistant clerk role. New Trustee Marilyn Burden is now the assistant treasurer, taking the role over from former Trustee Susan Edgerton. Barb Cook, who was elected to the governing body in November’s general election, was named trustee.
Following the officer elections, trustees took their oath of office. The LCSD1 Board of Trustees is next set to meet again Monday, Dec. 16. This will be the body’s last regular meeting before the 2024 winter break.
