CHEYENNE, Wyo. — House District 42 challenger Rob Geringer narrowly defeated incumbent Rep. Ben Hornok in a tightly contested primary race Tuesday, and will now face Democrat Bob Ray in the general election.
Geringer received 876 votes, 50.8% of the ballots cast. Hornok got 844 votes. Ray, who ran unopposed in the Democratic Party primary, ended up with 151 votes.
Hornok has represented his district since 2023. He currently sits on the Labor, Health and Social Services Committee and on the Labor and Economic Development Committee.
All election results are unofficial until ratified by the state.
