CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Incumbent Rep. Clarence Styvar came out on top Tuesday in the primary election race for the House District 12 seat, beating out Thomas Lear.
Styvar received 364 votes, roughly 56% of the votes cast. Lear received 281 votes.
Styvar has represented his district since 2019. He currently serves on the House Rules and Procedure Committee and the House Transportation, Highway and Military Affairs Committee.
There is no Democrat running for the seat, though the last day for independents to file is Aug. 26.
All election results are unofficial until ratified by the state.
