Laramie County’s average gas price crosses $3 mark as national average goes up pennies

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Although the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline rose only pennies over the last week, Laramie County has seen its average gas prices rise more than 25 cents, again crossing the $3 mark.

AAA reported the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at $3.32 per gallon, up 4 cents from a week ago, and placed Wyoming’s average lower at $3.22, up 14 cents from last week. Laramie County’s average gas price rose 26 cents from $2.89 per gallon to $3.15, according to AAA.

Despite the increased prices, Laramie County remains within the top five cheapest gas prices in the state. The cheapest price offered by a local station on Monday was $2.44, seen at Exxon, 820 W. Lincolnway; King Soopers, 3702 Dell Range Blvd.; Loaf ‘N Jug, 1922 E. Lincolnway; and Sinclair, 3030 E. Lincolnway, followed by $2.67 at Kum & Go, 215 E. Lincolnway, according to GasBuddy reports.
