CASPER, Wyo. — Yellowstone National Park said on Monday, July 13 that people are harmed in encounters with bison each year, “particularly during mid-summer.”

“In nearly all of these events, bison are responding to threats posed by people,” Yellowstone added.

Biologist Chris Geremia will deliver a “Stay Safe Around Bison” presentation starting at 9 am MST Tuesday, July 14. The presentation will be broadcast via Yellowstone National Park’s Facebook Page.

“Learn how bison perceive people, things people do that threaten bison, and how to respond to an aggressive bison,” Yellowstone said.
