Comedian and musician Rodney Carrington to perform in November at Cheyenne Civic Center

Rodney Carrington (Cheyenne Civic Center)

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A popular and multi-faceted comedian and musical act is performing later this year in Cheyenne.

Rodney Carrington, best known for his stand-up comedy and humorous musical albums, was announced Tuesday morning as having added a Cheyenne stop to his “Let Me In!” tour scheduled for Nov. 3 at the Cheyenne Civic Center. Tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Friday.

The 53-year-old Texan has released eight studio albums in his career, including three with his own label, Laughter’s Good Records. Five of those albums have found their way to the top 25 of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, while his 2014 record “Laughter’s Good” peaked at No. 1 on the magazine’s Top Comedy Albums chart.

The tour is named after Carrington’s most recent music single that was released late last year, which has been one part of his recent work that includes his 2017 Netflix special “Here Comes The Truth.”

Carrington will be one of a selection of comedy acts to perform at the Civic Center in a several-week period. Joe Gatto of “Impractical Jokers” fame will perform at the venue Sept. 22, while Tom Segura is scheduled to be on stage Oct. 27. Four days after Carrington is to perform, Chris D’Elia is also slated for a show Nov. 6.
