CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Residents can now sign up for Cheyenne’s volleyball league set to occur in spring.
Cheyenne Rec announced Tuesday that registration for its 2024 Adult Co-Rec Dodgeball League is now open. Anyone aged 18 and up can sign up for the league, which takes place starting April 1 and continues into the month of May.
Up to 14 people can be on a single team, while six players per team will take to the court during a game, David Contreras with Cheyenne Rec told Cap City News. Although a schedule isn’t currently set in stone, games will take place on weeknights Monday through Thursday, Contreras said. Games could start as early as 6 p.m.
During the 2023 league, eight teams participated in the league. The 2024 league could include more teams depending on signups, Contreras said.
The cost for one team to register is $180, but anyone can participate in the league individually and be assigned a team for $40, Contreras said. The registration deadline lasts until Feb. 15, but participants can still sign up for late registration until Feb. 29 with an additional $50 late fee.
Anyone interested in signing up can register in person at the Kiwanis Community House, 4603 Lions Park Drive, or on Cheyenne Rec’s Webtrac page.
