CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Saturday, Jan. 13, the Laramie County Library will host award-winning writer and humorist Michael P. Branch to talk about his book “On the Trail of the Jackalope: How a Legend Captured the World’s Imagination and Helped Us Cure Cancer.”
According to the book’s description on publication company Simon & Schuster’s website, the book tells the story of the horned rabbit, including the myths, the hoaxes and the very real scientific breakthrough it inspired.
Starting at 2 p.m., Branch will share extra stories and fun facts from his research on the jackalope. Copies of the book will be available for sale as well.
