LCSD1 Superintendent Stephen Newton is Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon speaker for April

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Stephen Newton, Laramie County School District 1’s trailblazing superintendent, is set to take center stage at the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce’s April luncheon.

With nearly 30 years in education, Newton’s leadership at LCSD1 has the potential to transform the educational opportunities for district students and staff. Before his current role, Newtown directed instruction at LCSD1 since 2015. He oversaw advancements in curriculum, assessment and professional development. An esteemed adjunct professor at the University of Wyoming, he’s a seasoned professional learning consultant for the Center for Model Schools. He’s a proud UW graduate and holds degrees in biology and education leadership as well as a doctorate in curriculum and instruction.

“I feel incredibly grateful and blessed to be able to continue to serve the staff, students and community of Cheyenne,” Newton stated in a news release.

The lunch event will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 5 in the LCCC Pathfinder Building. Registration costs $30 for chamber members and $35 for nonmembers. To register, click here.
