CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The 15th Annual Spring into Green 5K Run & Walk is set for Saturday, June 15 at Mylar Park.
The race will begin at 8 a.m. and will follow the Dry Creek Greenway. Mylar Park is located off Seminoe Road north of Dell Range Boulevard.
Participants are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle; water will be available at the 5K turnaround and at the start/finish, a news release states. Volunteers will be present at water stations and course marshals will assist with directions and encouragement along the route. Dogs on leashes are welcome as are strollers — those participants should plan to start behind the pack.
The race will be timed by Foot of the Rockies.
Awards for first and second place in all categories will be given.
Kids age categories are 6–9, 10–13 and 14–17; adult age categories are 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69 and 70-plus.
Preregistration prices of $25 for the race increase after April 30 to $30. Registration can also be done on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m.
The Greenway Foundation will treat the runners to a light breakfast at the end of the race. T-shirts are optional and start at $17.
The Cheyenne Greenway Foundation puts on this race every year to fulfill its mission and raise funds for amenities on the Greenway that are not typically funded by the city.
