CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Make-A-Wish Wyoming is thrilled to present the first annual Serving Up Wishes in collaboration with 1WYO. Serving Up Wishes is a unique fundraising event that engages University of Wyoming athletes to make wishes come true for Wyoming children battling critical illnesses.

Serving Up Wishes will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Little America in Cheyenne. Make-A-Wish Wyoming and 1WYO, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting charitable causes in Wyoming, will bring together a variety of University of Wyoming athletes during this high-energy, fun-filled night of entertainment. The fundraiser is being held in support of granting wishes for children across the state.

Make-A-Wish Wyoming will welcome several University of Wyoming Athletics coaches to the event. Together with their athletes, the coaches will join in on the magic of the evening to help Make-A-Wish Wyoming and 1WYO raise money to grant life-changing wishes. The UW coaches joining Serving Up Wishes include:

  • Jay Sawvel (Football)
  • Jeff Linder (Men’s Basketball)
  • Heather Ezell (Women’s Basketball)
  • Kaylee Prigge (Women’s Volleyball)
  • Mark Branch (Wrestling)
  • Josey Stender (Women’s Golf)

Make-A-Wish Wyoming encourages all who want to make a difference in a child’s life (and engage with UW athletes and coaches) to attend this inaugural event, where all proceeds help the organization grant the wishes of kids battling critical illnesses across Wyoming. When a wish comes true, it creates strength, hope and transformation in a child, and Serving Up Wishes is an opportunity to help Make-A-Wish Wyoming achieve just that.

Tickets for the event are available now here and include dinner, athlete-led entertainment and more special surprises. For questions or to request an interview, call the Make-A-Wish Wyoming office at 307-234-9474.
