CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Capital City Car and Bike Club is revving up for another year of its vehicle show.
The third annual Capital City Car and Bike Club Show is set to feature classic and modern lowrider vehicles Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center, 204 W. Fox Farm Road. The event will have entertainment such as Mexican folk art dancers, break dancers, a sound system competition, vendors and raffles.
Cheyenne’s Car and Bike Club was founded in April 2020, according to club member Edmundo Herrera. The group’s goal is to foster camaraderie among lowrider enthusiasts, according to a release from the club. For the shows in 2022 and 2023, around 150 vehicles were judged, Herrera said.
Proceeds from the show will go toward the club’s Trunk or Treat event this fall, which provides candy, snacks, drinks and toys to kids in Laramie County. The club will also use raised funds to support local charities and cover the cost of travel for club members who participate in out-of-town shows.
Vehicles eligible to enter the show include:
- Lowriders from 1940s up to 1990s
- 4×4 vehicles
- Hot rod or muscle cars
- Classics
- Imports
- Motorcycles
- Trucks

Local volunteers will be judging vehicles in the show, Herrera said. Awards will be handed out to entrants for first, second and third place for each category. The event will give vehicles the following award titles:
- Best of Show – Car
- Best of Show – Truck
- Best of Show – Motorcycle
