Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra to celebrate 70 years at annual gala

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Members of the public can get ready to join the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra for an evening of elegance as the group celebrates its 70th anniversary season Sept. 14 at the Little America Grand Ballroom.

The annual fundraising event includes a champagne reception, a three-course gourmet meal, entertainment by Synesthesia, a wine raffle and live auctions.

Attendees will be able to grab a free glass of bubbly or beer, listen to the eclectic sounds of Synesthesia and watch local artist Bria Hammock paint live during the champagne reception at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the wine raffle and auctions taking place soon after. The winning candidate for CSO’s second “Make ME the Maestro” fundraiser will be revealed.

Live auction items include the CSO 70th Anniversary Canvas painted by Bria Hammock during the champagne reception, a fly-fishing trip on the North Platte River, a behind-the-podium experience with the CSO including an exclusive backstage pass to a rehearsal and concert tickets, an Omakase Sushi Meal for 20, and a gourmet meal for eight hosted by Rita Meyer and Steve Miller.
