CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne fairgrounds will host a series of events today, Aug. 9, featuring local FFA and 4-H participants. The barns open at 6 a.m., initiating a day filled with competitions and activities.
At 8 a.m., the FFA Large Animal Round Robin will take place in the Show Ring, followed by a combined 4-H Large Animal Round Robin for junior and intermediate classes. The Exhibit Hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering a 3-D printer demonstration and kids’ crafts.
The PeeWee Sheep Lead is scheduled for noon in the Show Ring. From 1 to 3 p.m., attendees can participate in a Wire Bracelet workshop with Melissa Cullen in the Exhibit Hall. The Youth Beef Fitting Contest begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by the 4-H Small Animal Round Robin at 2 p.m. in the Show Ring.
The FFA Kiwanis Livestock Sale is set for 7 p.m. at the Wyoming Hereford Ranch. At the same time, the “Friday Funnies” featuring Peterson Farm Bros. will occur in the LG Drilling Motorsports Park and a “Milk A Goat” event will be held in the Dairy Goat Area.
Barns will close at 10 p.m., and a curfew will be enforced starting at 11, as outlined in the fair’s General Rules and Regulations.
