CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Black Dog Animal Rescue announced Thursday that tickets to its annual fundraiser, Bark and Wine, are available now.

Bark and Wine is BDAR’s largest fundraising event of the year. The event, which will take place Oct. 5 at Red Lion Hotel, assists in the organization’s mission of advocating for the needs of companion animals.

“For 16 years, Black Dog Animal Rescue has been a vital support system for the pets and people in Laramie County and its neighboring areas,” said Emilee Intlekofer, executive director at BDAR. “Our industrious staff, exceptional board of directors, committed volunteers, and most significantly, our loyal supporters are all essential for the work we do.”

Bark and Wine will feature returning guest emcee Dan Zwonitzer and live music from local musician Mike Morris. Attendees can join the festivities at 5:30 p.m. for a cocktail hour followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Live auction items include a gun raffle and branded BDAR whiskey bottles, among other fantastic items. Bark and Wine will also present a silent auction for items such as self-care packages, artwork, a hefty booze kennel, local event tickets and items for furry friends.

BDAR’s programs include quarterly vaccination clinics that offer free and low-cost vaccines and microchips for animals and the monthly Empty Dish Pet Pantry. The organization helps with adoption and rehoming programs that support over 500 animals each year.

Sponsorships and auction items are still being accepted. Anyone interested in attending can purchase tickets here. To make an inquiry, email emilee@bdar.org.
