CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The new school semester is now underway for both K–12 and college students. As summer fun comes to a close, weeklong events will start to slow down, but Cheyenne will still have plenty of evening and weekend events as the city marches into the autumn season.
The following is a list of evening events happening this Friday in Wyoming’s capital city and the wider Laramie County. To view a full list of events going on in Cheyenne, click here to access Cap City News’s online calendar page.
Cheyenne Fridays on the Plaza: Ezra Bell with Mike Morris
Where: Cheyenne Depot Plaza
When: 6–9 p.m.
Ezra Bell was founded by Benjamin Wuamett and friends late in the summer of 2013. It was warm enough to sit on the porch into the evening and learn a couple of songs. A lap drum, a banjo and an out-of-tune guitar. Since then the cast of characters involved have moved around a bit. Having just finished their eighth studio album, they’ll wander around a bit and see if anyone likes it.
The current cast of characters:
- Jeremy Asay – piano, mandolin
- Dave Asay – guitar, banjo
- Elizabeth Anderson – strings
- Aaron Mattison – horns
- Tommy Mortenson – upright bass
- John Myers – drums
- Benjamin Wuamett- vocals
