CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Sunshine Plant Co. is hosting a vibrant fall festival to celebrate its two-year anniversary, drawing in Cheyenne residents for an afternoon of fun and community support. The event, which runs until 5 p.m. Oct. 19, features local food, games and a terrarium bar fundraiser for Needs Inc., a local food, clothing and essential needs pantry.

Graffiti Cuisine’s food truck is serving up tasty bites, while festival-goers are competing in the “Coziest Sweater Vibes” contest. Inside, Sunshine Plant Co. is packed with visitors participating in the terrarium bar, where they can build their own plant ecosystems. Proceeds from the terrarium bar will go to Needs Inc., helping it continue to serve local families in need.

Kristen-Erin Balderaz, director of Needs Inc., expressed excitement about the partnership and the event. “Even if you don’t have the brightest green thumbs, you can still come in and participate,” she said, encouraging everyone to join in the fun. “Honestly, the vibe is just great.”

The celebration is more than just a fun day out — it’s an opportunity to give back. Sunshine Plant Co. has been a strong supporter of Needs Inc. through various fundraisers. “We love Sunshine Plant Co. They are amazing supporters of our work,” Balderaz shared.

For those seeking something unique, local psychic medium Jodi is offering readings for $35, adding a spiritual touch to the event. Attendees have been lining up to see what messages Jodi might have for them from the other side.

Alexa Blooding and Cylie Erickson, co-owners of Sunshine Plant Co., are mingling with guests, offering plant care tips and helping with terrarium building. Blooding emphasized the welcoming nature of their shop, noting that the event is designed for everyone, regardless of gardening experience.

There’s still time to enjoy the festival, with activities continuing until 5 p.m. Visitors can stop by for food, for games and to help support a local cause that has been serving the community for over 50 years. Sunshine Plant Co. is located at 600 W. 17th St., and the team invites everyone to join the fun and make a difference.
