CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The following is a list of events going on in Wyoming’s capital city this weekend. This list focuses on curating local events that are free, family-friendly and community-based. Some listings may be seasonal and require an entrance fee or ticket. Weekly recurring events in the community are typically not included in this list. Day of the Dead Celebration

Where: Tivoli Building, 301 W. Lincolnway
When: 10 a.m.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Store invites you to join us Nov. 1 and 2 to celebrate The Day of the Dead.

We will be setting up an Altar (Ofrenda) at our downtown location at the Tivoli. Please bring something by, to leave at the altar to honor your ancestors. We would also love to see you in your best Sugar Skull face! Stop in at both 3344 Ridge Road and the Tivoli Building. If you would like your picture taken, we will be glad to share.

Everyone that stops in either location will get a ticket entry for a special giveaway we will be doing.


Derby Lanes Opening Weekend Celebration

Where: 1510 E. Pershing Boulevard, Ste. 1
When: 3 p.m. to midnight

JOIN US FOR OUR OPENING CELEBRATION Friday, Nov. 1!

Dinovember Dino Sleepover

Where: Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave.
When: 4 p.m.

Ever wondered what your dinosaurs get up to when you’re sleeping? What if you left them alone for a month? Bring your Favorite Dinosaur Figure to the library and leave them for an ENTIRE MONTH to see what fun they get into without you. We’ll make sure they don’t get into too much trouble.

First Friday Artwalk

Where: Westward, 1601 Capitol Ave.
When: 5–8 p.m.

Join Arts Cheyenne to celebrate the new release of Desirée Brothe’s book, “Helen & Kate”!

This First Friday Artwalk will also feature small snacks and live music by Nick Park. The event will be at the contemporary western art gallery Westward in downtown Cheyenne. The Artwalk is free and open to the public.


Lip Sync Battle 2024

Where: Laramie County Community College, 1400 E. College Drive
When: 6 p.m.

We put the “fun” in fundraiser! Join us for a night you won’t soon forget! Step into a world of fun, music and endless smiles at our Lip Sync Battle Fundraiser. Jason Buchanan & The Short Timers Season’s End

Where: Black Tooth Brewery, 520 W. 19th St.
When: 6 p.m.

Jason and the boys return to the Black Tooth, closing out their latest season of touring, festivals and local shows. Come out and dance to your favorite tunes with tight harmonies. After this show, they’re gonna change up the setlist!!


Nightmare on 17th Street

Where: Knights of Pythias, 312 W. 17th St.
When: 7–11 p.m.

The Knights of Pythias annual “Nightmare on 17th Street” Haunted House is back for another year of scares! Back by popular demand, Halloween night will be Blackout Night. The house will be open on weekends through Nov. 2.


Halloween Party feat. Randy Burghardt

Where: The Outlaw Saloon, 312 S. Greeley Highway
When: 8 p.m.

Zepparella Rocks Cheyenne

Where: The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave.
