CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Families explored the wonders of space Dec. 7 at the Wyoming State Museum’s Space Day, enjoying hands-on activities and engaging exhibits about the challenges and discoveries of space exploration.

Visitors had the opportunity to interact with experts, including aerospace engineers and representatives from the UW Planetarium, the Science Initiative Roadshow, the NASA Space Grant Consortium and the UW College of Engineering. Crafts, games and educational exhibits made the event a hit with attendees of all ages.

As excitement from Space Day lingers, the museum is getting cozy for its next event — a winter pajama party planned for next month. Families can look forward to a festive day featuring hot cocoa, crafts and close looks at winter-themed collections. This special event will offer a unique chance to explore the museum’s exhibits through a seasonal lens.

The event will take place at the museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 4. Those who wish to attend can visit the Wyoming State Museum website. Museum organizers encourage attendees to wear their favorite pajamas and come ready for a day of warmth and wonder.
