Makar Sankranti (Sanskrit) A Harvest Festival — Marking the end of the cold months and start of the new month with longer days.
We celebrate the light! Isn’t it ironic that we celebrate light on the darkest day of the year, or is it?
Each day will get longer and the light will shine more upon us. A celebration of what is to come!
This is a great time for reflection: Even though there will be more light, we know that the days are still cold. Welcome the opportunity to be indoors nestled in the blankets with your loved ones.
Take the stillness as an opportunity to deepen the relationship with yourself and become curious about your growth, the growth you have already made and the growth yet to come. Welcome reflection over the year that is coming to an end — the losses, the lessons and the love.
This is the time of the year where intentions are planted for the year to come.
Join me upon the mat to celebrate the coming of light, a new beginning, friendship and community.
Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
Cost is $28 per person. Payment can be made to Little Lotus Yoga via Venmo here.

Continuing with our annual tradition… Who needs an ugly sweater when you can wear a one-piece pajama?! Talk about the ultimate holiday-party level of comfort! Freedom’s Edge is like a second home anyway, so why not wear pajamas and drink beer there, am I right? How many excuses do we actually need to make for this occasion? 0 TBH. Just DO IT.
What are you waiting for?? Go forth and source the coolest (er, warmest?) onesie you can find and get ready for one WONDERFUL time. Don’t forget to bring some ONES to throw on the ceiling as our last HOORAH to raise money for Bar Bucks!

Nog Jog
Where: North Cheyenne Community Park, Mynear Street at Ridge Road
When: 3 p.m.
Join us for our Fifth Annual Nog Jog! Date is tentative currently.
What is a Nog Jog, you may ask? Well… it is a fun, festive celebration where all you have to do is run four laps at 400 meters each. Oh, and drink an 8- to 12-ounce cup of eggnog before each lap. Easy! Though a fair bit of warning, going slow is likely the best way to do this one.
Bring your own eggnog (dairy free alternatives, or Apple Cider substitutes, are completely acceptable), and join us for one hoot of a great time! No alcoholic beverages though, please.
