Tuesday: 146 new COVID-19 cases in Wyoming, 125 new recoveries

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Health reported 146 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their 3 pm update Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Wyoming has now seen a total of 7,070 lab confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic. The WDH also reported on Tuesday four additional COVID related deaths among residents who had tested positive for the virus, bringing the COVID-19 related death toll to 61.

69 new probable cases reported Tuesday brought the total to 1,387. The state has been seeing a surge in COVID cases with a record 251 new lab confirmed cases on Monday.

125 new recoveries from among people with a lab confirmed case were reported by the WDH on Tuesday, bringing the total to 5,929. Recoveries from probable cases rose by 23 to 1,015.

Wyoming’s average daily number of lab-confirmed cases is as follows:

  • last 21 days: 140.2
  • last 14 days: 152.2
  • last 7 days: 163.5

208,990 COVID-19 tests had been completed in Wyoming with 3.4% of tests coming back positive.
