CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Crews with Simon Construction and the Wyoming Department of Transportation have begun concrete slab replacement work in Cheyenne. The project is anticipated to be completed in fall.
The repair work will take place near the US Highway 85/Central Avenue and Yellowstone intersection. Crews will be utilizing heavy equipment that produces loud noise throughout the duration of the work. Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits.
Road staff will pause road development for the duration of Cheyenne Frontier Days in July. The intersection is anticipated to be open throughout the event.
Drivers are encouraged to obey all posted signs, signals, flaggers and other traffic controls and avoid distractions like cellphones while driving through work zones.
