CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Interstate 80 is closed eastbound from Rawlins to Cheyenne due to a crash and winter weather, the Wyoming Department of Transportation announced. Snowfall and slick road conditions have prompted rolling closures along the route, with WYDOT estimating a reopening within five to seven hours from the latest update at 12:30 p.m.

WYDOT warns drivers that parking on the roadway may further delay efforts to reopen I-80. Conditions remain hazardous, with snow creating slick spots, especially between Laramie and Cheyenne. Westbound lanes are open but have slick spots and areas of slush, complicating travel for those heading west.
