LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team was recently recognized by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association as one of the top academic squads in the country heading into the 2024–25 season. This marks the second time in the past three seasons that the Cowgirls have been a Top 25 WBCA Academic Team.

Wyoming boasted the 16th-best team GPA in the country last season, with a cumulative GPA of 3.67. A total of nine Cowgirls were named to the Mountain West All-Academic Team this year, while three were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
