LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming has secured the commitments of a swath of recruits out of high school who will now compete for the university starting in the 2025 school year. Across all sports and from all around the world, Wyoming just got a few more Pokes.
These recruits represent only what the University of Wyoming has announced as of Wednesday, Nov. 13. The signing period for NCAA sports is potentially a months-long process, and it is likely that more recruits are to come in the future, at which point this list will be updated.
Men’s Golf Recruits
The University of Wyoming’s men’s golf team is taking on four new Cowboys in 2025. These soon-to-be Pokes won’t have to travel far to get to Laramie, however, as one is from Wyoming and the rest are from Colorado.
Ryker Lind – Evanston High School, Wyoming
Lind, a Wyomingite from Evanston, was Wyoming Golfer of the Year in 2024, according to UW Athletics. The recruit was all-state golf all four years of his high school career and won the state title in 2024. He also holds multiple golf records in the state.
Kellen Ball – Windsor High School, Colorado
From Windsor, Colorado, Ball was runner-up at the high school state tournament in 2022 and was high school regional tournament champion in 2024. Ball was also all-state and all-conference all four years of high school.

Men’s golf head coach Joe Jensen said that the signees are the culmination of a lot of time and effort to assemble the best possible roster for next season.
“We try to find guys that understand the level of play necessary to compete at a national level while also taking to heart the academic expectations we have for them,” Jensen said. “This group does that. We feel great about this class with not only the level of play they bring but who they are as people.”
Women’s Golf Recruits
On the first day of the 2025 signing period, the university’s women’s golf team has also made two commitments of its own.

Reisner is 148th nationally in her recruiting class and, according to the UW Athletics Department, was scouted by a series of other schools from across the western United States. In the end, she chose to compete with her sister, sophomore Kira Reisner, as a Cowgirl.
Ellie Barry – Fossil Ridge High School, Colorado
A two-time all-state first team competitor from Fort Collins, Colorado, Barry is the second new Cowgirl to join the women’s golf ranks. Barry is medalist at the 2023 Colorado PGA Junior Cup Series at Coal Creek and holds a series of other accolades that made her stand out to the Wyoming coaches.

Josey Stender, the women’s golf head coach, spoke highly of this recruiting class from the amount of time she has spent with them thus far.
