Pokes in the Pros: Week 12

In a week where most former UW Cowboys either enjoyed their bye or were relegated to the sideline, veteran safety Tashaun Gipson was the only Poke to take the field.

CASPER, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming has produced several NFL players currently making an impact. Here’s how they did in the most recent week’s slate of games.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen and the Bills were able to enjoy a bye this week and did not take the field. They will next be in action on Dec. 1 at home against the San Francisco 49ers.

Frank Crum, Denver Broncos

Frank Crum, a rookie offensive lineman for the Broncos, was inactive again in Week 12 as his team downed the Las Vegas Raiders 29–19.

Crum has appeared in half of his team’s games this year, but hasn’t seen playing time in four straight games.

Tashaun Gipson, San Francisco 49ers

After missing much of the season thus far due to suspension, Tashaun Gipson has seen steadily increasing playing time since returning in Week 10.

In his team’s 38–10 loss to the Green Bay Packers, Gipson took the field for a handful of special teams downs, though he did not record a stat in his limited playing time.

Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints

Like Allen, defensive end Carl Granderson’s Saints were idle in Week 12. Their next game will be Dec. 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Chad Muma, Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars were also among the teams to sit out Week 12. Chad Muma and the Jags will return to the field on Dec. 1 against the Texans.

Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals

Casper native Logan Wilson was also among the former Wyoming Cowboys to enjoy a bit of rest in Week 12, as the Bengals also had their bye. On Dec. 1, the team will return to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars

Andrew Wingard was off for Week 12, as he, Muma and the Jaguars enjoyed their bye.
