The closures on I-80 in Wyoming have been extended.
The stretch between Cheyenne and Rock Springs is now facing closures, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation. The interstate is closed in both directions between Laramie and Rawlins.
Eastbound lanes are closed between Rock Springs and Rawlins as part of a rolling closure. Westbound lanes between Cheyenne and Laramie are likewise closed.
As of 5 pm, the estimated opening time was listed as 11-13 hours, meaning the interstate closures will likely stay in effect at least until Saturday morning.
The closure on US 287 has also been extended. That road is now closed from Laramie to Muddy Gap.
US 30 is closed between Cheyenne and Rock Springs as well. Several other highways are also facing closures.
Black ice advisories are in place for other highways throughout the state, particularly highways in the Jackson and Pinedale areas.
Level 1 Chain Law and weight restrictions are in effect on WY 22 across Teton Pass between Wilson and the Idaho state line.
That stretch is also closed to all trailer traffic.
