Accidents close I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne, Rock Springs and Rawlins

CASPER, Wyo. – Parts of I-80 have been closed again due to winter weather and crashes.

According to WYDOT, I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne is closed for at least 10 to 12 hours due to accidents and conditions.

I-80 between Rock Springs and Rawlins is closed due to winter conditions, opening time is “unknown” according to WYDOT.

US 30 between Rock Springs and Rawlins, and Laramie and Cheyenne is also closed. US 287 between Rawlins and Muddy Gap is also closed.

Various high profile bans are in place as well. Black Ice warnings are in effect between Casper and Midwest.

70 mph wind gusts are expected in the southeastern part of the state today, with extreme blow over risks.
