Wyoming is waking up on Tuesday to the aftermath of a major storm that affected much of the state on Monday.

Multiple road closures dot the state, including I-25 in Natrona County and swaths of I-80.

As of 6 a.m., I-80 is closed from Rock Springs to Laramie due to winter conditions and “heavy snow and strong wind” in areas, according to WYDOT.

I-80 westbound is closed from Laramie to Cheyenne, and US 30 between Rock Springs and Laramie is closed, with westbound lanes from Laramie to Cheyenne closed.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued a winter storm warning through this evening.

Temperatures today will reach just 11 degrees, with a temperature of minus 5 degrees overnight and wind chill factors as low as minus 20 degrees.

Gusty winds are expected to return tomorrow, according to the NWS.
