Hold on to those Valentine’s Day flower arrangements, because the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for southeast and south central Wyoming today.
The NWS in Cheyenne says wind gusts up to 70 mph are likely today through this evening. The high winds will return on Sunday, with snow showers developing Sunday night through Tuesday.
Blowing and drifting snow could cause travel difficulties in some areas, according to the NWS.
As of 5:30 a.m., I-80 is closed to light and high profile vehicles from Elk Mountain to Laramie, as is US 287 from Laramie to Medicine Bow.
