A blast of winter weather is bound to cause traveling issues this morning in southern Wyoming.
According to WYDOT, as of 4:45 a.m., Interstate 80 from Cheyenne to Laramie is closed in the westbound lanes, with black ice reported eastbound.
The National Weather Service in Riverton issued a winter weather advisory for the Cheyenne area today, with morning snow and gusty winds with chill values down to minus 10 degrees.
Periods of snow will continue overnight, with blustery winds and chill values again at minus 10 degrees. Temperatures are expected to start rising through the week, but winds will remain.
