‘Dangerous winds’ expected to impact travel in Wyoming and Nebraska into Wednesday

CASPER, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Cheyenne said Tuesday that travelers in both Wyoming and Nebraska “can expect dangerous winds.”

The high winds could last until around 2 pm Wednesday afternoon. 70-75 mph gusts are possible on I-80 in Wyoming. Gusts over 65 mph are possible on US 20 across Nebraska.

The NWS in Cheyenne adds that travel in I-25 could also be impacted.

“Those driving light, high profile vehicles should use extreme caution,” the NWS in Cheyenne adds.
