CHEYENNE, Wyo. — While some rain and snow showers are expected in Wyoming Thursday and Friday, warm weather is right around the corner.
Scattered light snow showers are expected in southeast Wyoming on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
“Most accumulations are expected in the higher terrains, with some minor accumulations near Laramie and Cheyenne,” the NWS in Cheyenne says.
Southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle are also expected to see light snow on Friday. Several inches are possible in southeast Wyoming mountains.
After the rain and snow pass, temperatures are expected to climb. The Casper area has a high near 46 degrees forecast on Saturday, climbing to 56 degrees on Sunday and 60 degrees on Monday, according to the NWS in Riverton.
Southeast Wyoming could see highs in the 60s through Monday, according to the NWS in Cheyenne.
Wind is expected to return on Monday: “Very windy in the central wind corridor of southern Fremont county through Natrona County,” the NWS in Riverton says.
