Red Flag Warnings are in effect Tuesday for portions of southeast Wyoming, which includes the city of Cheyenne, as low humidity values coupled with winds of 15-25 MPH with gusts reaching as high as MPH could produce conditions favorable for wildfires, according to the latest guidance from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
The Red Flag Warning is scheduled to expire at 8 PM on Wednesday, September 15th.
“Fires could start and rapidly spread under these conditions. Please avoid any outdoor burning!” NWS officials cautioned.
