CASPER, Wyo — Travel on Interstate 80 will be impacted by west winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph beginning late Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
The high wind warning will be in effect from late Saturday to Sunday afternoon. Impacted areas will include the north Snowy Range foothills including and I-80 between Arlington and Elk Mountain.
Strong cross winds will be hazardous to lightweight and high-profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers, the NWS said.
