CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne is looking at another hot and sunny day today before facing thunderstorms to start off the weekend.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne is predicting temperatures in the low 90s today, with a high of 93. The temperatures will drop again this evening with a low of 60.

Models show this high very slowly drifting east through the day, allowing some midlevel monsoon moisture to enter southern and southwestern Wyoming later today,” meteorologists wrote in the forecast discussion.
“It should be the hottest day of the week with high temperatures in the low 90s for Laramie and Rawlins, and ranging from 95 to 105 east of the I-25 corridor,” they added. “A few record-high temperatures for the day are possible.”
Friday is also set to have temperatures around 92 degrees. There is the possibility of scattered thunderstorms through the afternoon. The temperatures that evening are set to drop to a low of 61, with scattered thunderstorms through the night.
