CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Chances of rain return to the forecast for Cheyenne residents, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
Today, Sept. 15, there is a 70% chance of precipitation in the afternoon, with new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch expected. The rest of the day is set to be partly sunny with a high of 66 and northwest winds between 5 and 15 mph in the morning shifting to the southwest in the afternoon.
The evening will have a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 p.m., with the remainder of the evening being partly cloudy with a low of 45. Winds between 5 and 10 mph will be north before becoming west-southwest after midnight.
A cooler day is in store with another round of scattered storms likely. Some lingering showers possible during the morning hours for areas west of the Laramie Range. Friday, Sept. 16, is set to have a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, with the remainder of the day being sunny with a high of 72. The winds will be south-southwest at 5–15 mph. The evening will have a 20% chance of showers before midnight alongside mostly cloudy skies, a low of 46 and west-northwest winds between 5 and 15 mph.
