CASPER, Wyo. — With a snowstorm expanding from northern Wyoming into central areas of the state, a closure along Interstate 25 has been expanded, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
I-25 is closed to all traffic from Buffalo to Casper as of 11:35 a.m. Wednesday due to winter conditions, WYDOT reports. I-25 is closed to light, high–profile vehicles from Douglas to Cheyenne due to gusting winds.
I-90 from Buffalo to Sheridan is also closed to all traffic due to winter conditions, according to WYDOT.
I-80 has reopened to most traffic across the state after seeing a westbound closure to all traffic for much of the morning due to crashes, according to WYDOT. While the full westbound closure from Rawlins to Laramie has been lifted, wind closures remain in effect on I-80 from Laramie to Elk Mountain. Light, high-profile vehicles are prohibited on that stretch of I-80 due to gusting winds, according to WYDOT.
Black ice advisories remain in effect on I-80 near Lyman.
A range of full and partial closures as well as hazardous travel advisories are in effect on highways across Wyoming. Real-time road condition information is available from WYDOT.
