Cheyenne residents to have snowy weekend

Cheyenne residents can expect a snowy and cold weekend ahead.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne residents have a snowy weekend ahead, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Today, Jan. 27, will be mostly cloudy with a high of 36. Winds will be in the west-southwest at 15–20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. There is a 20% chance of snow with increasing cloud cover and a low of 17. Later, winds will be in the west-northwest at 25–30 mph before decreasing to 15–20 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph.

There is a 60% chance of snow on Saturday, Jan. 28, under mostly cloudy skies with temperatures falling to 15. North winds will be at 10–15 mph before shifting to the east. There will be a 50% chance of snow in the evening with a low of minus 3 and windchill values between minus 5 and minus 15 degrees. Winds will be in the east-northeast at 10 mph before shifting to the south-southeast.

Sunday, Jan. 29, will have a 50% chance of snow with a high of 5 and south-southeast winds at 10 mph before shifting to the east-northeast. There is a 70% chance of precipitation in the evening with a low of minus 10.
