CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Most of Interstate 80 in Wyoming is still under travel restrictions after a deadly multi-vehicle pileup on Saturday.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, rolling closures are in effect from Cheyenne through Evanston as of 6 a.m. Webcam images show miles of snow-packed roads.
Closures and travel restrictions are affecting travel on other major highways in Wyoming, including US 30 between Cheyenne and Patrick Draw, US 287 between Laramie and Jackson and US 210 between Cheyenne and Laramie.
According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, a windchill advisory is in effect in Laramie County, with windchill values as low as minus 30 degrees likely. Currently, the temperature at Cheyenne’s airport is minus 7 degrees. Monday’s high is expected to only reach 7 degrees, the NWS in Cheyenne said.
Road and weather conditions have led to the closures of Laramie County public schools on Monday, according to the school district.
