CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Though the National Weather Service in Cheyenne predicts a sunny start to the day today and Sunday, both days also see a slight chance of rain later in the afternoon.

Today, conditions will start mostly sunny, with some clouds rolling in throughout the morning hours. After noon, however, the Cheyenne area will see a 20% chance of scattered thunderstorms that could last throughout much of the afternoon.

Temperatures will reach a high of roughly 83 degrees, the NWS in Cheyenne reports. After sundown, conditions are likely to drop to a low of around 57.

Sunday’s forecast is much the same as today’s, with sunny skies giving way to a 20% chance of scattered storms. However, Sunday is likely to be noticeably cooler, as the high isn’t expected to eclipse 70 degrees, with the NWS in Cheyenne calling for a high of just 67. Sunday will also be considerably more blustery, as winds throughout the day are likely to gust as hard as 35 mph.
