CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne residents may want to keep umbrellas and rain boots handy, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
A slight 20% chance of showers in the morning is expected to rise to a 50% chance in the afternoon, the NWS in Cheyenne reports. The chance of inclement weather is only going to grow from there, as the evening brings with it a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms.
During the day, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 77 degrees, with a light 5–10 mph wind.
At night, showers and thunderstorms will remain likely, mainly before midnight. The NWS in Cheyenne’s forecast lists the chance of rain as increasing to 60% after dark. Temperatures after sundown are expected to reach a low of 55 degrees.
