Sunny Saturday, rainy Sunday in store for Cheyenne weekend

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne residents can enjoy some clear skies overhead throughout the day today. After that, though, the evening will likely kick off what is expected to be several overcast and rainy days.

Temperatures today are expected to reach a high of 79 degrees. Moderate and variable winds of 10–15 mph are also possible throughout the morning and afternoon. After sundown, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that temperatures will fall to a low of 48.

Starting at around 7 p.m., however, area residents will see a 50% chance of scattered showers as clouds roll in.

The chance of rain is expected to only grow on Sunday. A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and early afternoon will grow to an 80% likelihood as the day progresses.

The day will also be noticeably cooler thanks to the precipitation, as temperatures are expected to max out at a high of just 65 degrees.

The chance of rain gets only higher at night, climbing to 90% after sundown.
