CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Cheyenne predicts rainy weather today and Monday, giving area residents a wet start to the coming week.

Today, residents can expect scattered showers before 9 a.m., followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms into the afternoon. Showers will then remain likely through the rest of the day, the NWS in Cheyenne reports.

Conditions today should include a high temperature near 63 degrees. Light winds will roll in from the north at 5–10 mph.

At night, temperatures will likely fall to a low of 47 degrees. All the while, the chance of precipitation will only continue to grow, rising from a 60% chance in the afternoon to a 70% chance in the evening and night.

Monday brings with it a likelihood of scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10 a.m. Temperatures for the day are likely to be in the low 60s again, barely eclipsing the 50s.
