CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation has closed parts of Interstate 80 and US 30/287 to lightweight and high-profile vehicle due to gusting winds.
The state agency announced on its Facebook page Thursday morning that it is restricting travel between Laramie and Rawlins as winds blow anywhere from 50 to 70 mph throughout the interstate in the Laramie Valley and Carbon County.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has a high wind warning in effect throughout southeast Wyoming. The warning will remain in effect through Thursday.
