CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Snow chances reenter Cheyenne’s forecast this weekend with a slight chance tonight and a stronger chance Sunday night.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has forecast a high of 59 today with a west wind of 5–10 mph shifting to the south this afternoon. There is a 20% chance for rain showers before 11 p.m., changing to a 10% chance of snow flurries after 4 a.m. as the low falls to around 33 degrees. Winds will come from the west-northwest at 10–15 mph.
Sunday’s forecast high is 54 degrees. It will be breezy with a west-northwest wind of 15–20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph. Overnight, there is a 40% chance for snow as the low falls to around 28. Blustery conditions are expected to continue with a north-northwest wind of 15–25 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph.
Monday will see a continued chance for snow of 30% before 11 a.m. Skies will otherwise be partly sunny as the high returns to 41 degrees. A north wind of 15–25 mph is expected with gusts as high as 30 mph. A chilly night is in store as the low falls to around 22 under partly cloudy skies.
“After a brief warming trend Tuesday and Wednesday, much colder temperatures and a chance for accumulating snow is forecast for Thanksgiving Day and Friday of next week,” meteorologists wrote in a weather summary.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature sunny skies. Tuesday’s forecast high is 52, while Wednesday’s is forecast at 57. The overnight low both nights will be in the mid- to high 20s.
Thanksgiving will be partly sunny with a high of 49. Snow chances return Thursday evening as the low falls to around 14.
