CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has extended its overnight high wind warning to include more regions throughout Laramie, Carbon and Platte counties.
According to the update, Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins is now included in the wind warning. Additionally, drivers moving along I-25 anywhere from Cheyenne to Bordeaux should be cautious of high winds. The weather service states that travel will be dangerous for travelers in lightweight or high-profile vehicles.
The towns and census-designated areas of Arlington, Bordeaux, Buford, Elk Mountain and Hanna will experience high winds overnight into Tuesday morning.
Early this morning, the weather service upgraded its high wind watch to a high wind warning that will affect several regions in southeast Wyoming. The advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
