Chilly, blustery weekend ahead for Cheyenne area, forecasts indicate

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne residents will be able to enjoy clear skies this weekend, though the sunny skies will likely be paired with cold and blustery conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Today should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 31 degrees. Meanwhile, winds blowing in from the north at 15–20 mph and gusting as high as 30 mph are possible throughout the day.

The night will see temperatures drop to a low of roughly 17 degrees. Winds are expected to remain just as strong after sundown as they were during the day, with speeds up to 20 mph and 30 mph gusts possible.

Sunday is likely to be warmer, with the NWS in Cheyenne predicting temperatures that reach up into the low 40s. However, the day will also be even windier: Forecasts indicate that winds may reach speeds of 30 to 35 mph, with gusts as strong as 50 mph throughout the day.
