CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The capital city’s unseasonably warm weather over the weekend is likely to continue into the early part of the coming week, according to reports from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
Today will be sunny, and the NWS in Cheyenne forecast calls for temperatures to rise to around 49 degrees by noon before falling to roughly 37 over the remainder of the day. The day is also expected to be breezy, with winds moving in from the west at 15–20 mph and shifting to the north later in the afternoon. Gusts could reach speeds of at least 30 mph.
Monday will most likely remain sunny, and the NWS in Cheyenne predicts that temperatures will eclipse 50, with a high near 52 in the forecast. Only moderate winds are expected for Monday, with southwest winds reaching around 10 mph.
Monday night will see temperatures drop to a low around 30, the NWS in Cheyenne reports. It will be another breezy night, too, with west winds of 10–15 mph increasing to 15–20 mph after midnight. Gusts could reach 30 mph.
Tuesday should be even warmer, with a high near 56 amid sunny conditions. The winds will likely be even stronger, though, with possible gusts as high as 35 mph.
