Rainy weekend likely for Cheyenne area

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Laramie County residents may need to break out their umbrellas this weekend, as the National Weather Service in Cheyenne is predicting rainfall for both Saturday and Sunday

Showers and thunderstorms are likely today, mainly after noon. The NWS in Cheyenne calls for a 70% chance of precipitation. The day is expected to largely remain partly sunny despite the rain, with a high temperature near 71 degrees.

After sundown, the area will see a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Temperatures can be expected to drop to a low of around 53 degrees at night.

On Sunday, showers and thunderstorms are likely after noon, with the NWS in Cheyenne reporting a 60% chance of precipitation. Locals can expect partly sunny skies, with a high near 71 degrees.
